What we aim to solve
We are working to build a children's museum in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, to serve the children and families of the Eastern Upper Peninsula, the families in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario (our sister city on the other side of the Canadian border), and the families that travel to our region to explore the Soo Locks and all of the historical sites and natural wonders our area offers.
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Interactive hands-on learning for children
Our museum will feature various hands-on exhibits that give children the ability to explore the world around them. Planned exhibits are: an interactive Soo Locks exhibit; a Science of Hockey exhibit; a child-sized grocery store; a child-sized veterinary clinic and doctor's office; a climbing wall; and more.
