Food uncertainty is a growing issue, and one that Los Angeles County is not immune to. feedSCV aims to reduce the impact of food uncertainty in the Santa Clarita Valley by educating our local community on how to maximize their food availability on limited resources.

Speakeasy Bakery Classes
Learn to eat healthier, save money and have new family experiences by baking bread right at home. The Speakeasy Bakery teaches everyone how easy it is to become a baker with a little time, and even less effort.

What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Our goal is to make sure everyone in the Santa Clarita Valley is to have the skills, knowledge and resources to have a meal at home every day.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Our strategic approach is to tackle this issue in three ways: Education, Advocacy and Intervention.
We will provide education to our community on how to effectively manage the home kitchen to be able to maximize a family's spending power when buying food for the home, and help them learn new recipes, cooking skills and techniques that they may not be familiar with.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
65 volunteers, 409 students, 5 directors, 12 advisory council,

2017 classes, 127 students, 1500 meals provided to the community
