Bear-O Care Homes (BOCH)

Located in Bluffdale, Utah, Bear-O Care Homes supports six individuals with multiple disabilities in a residential setting. Each resident rents a private room and shares access to a full kitchen, living space, patio, yard, and swimming pool. Staff provide 24/7 care including tube feedings, hygiene assistance, suctioning, oxygen support, and other services typically found in skilled nursing facilities. Residents spend weekends hanging out or going into the community to enjoy the movies, bowling, theater, swimming, the car wash, and more. BOCH offers a home-like environment with the intensive care that individuals need. Families and friends are able to visit anytime and appreciate the care that staff provide.

Population(s) Served

Bear-O Care provides weekday support for individuals with multiple disabilities, focusing on those who require total care or more intensive assistance maintaining their health (feeding tubes, suction requirements, seizure activity, etc). Clients are transported from home to the center where they can choose to participate in an activity, or venture out into the community, engaging in meaningful activities that are important to them. Our program ensures that even those with the highest care needs can live life to the fullest, enjoying social, recreational, and community experiences while providing respite for caregivers.
