What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Volunteer Program
The volunteer program is designed to connect students with organizations that need volunteer support. As students log hours with Proud Scholars or our community partners we will pay out grants to reduce their student loans.
Corporate Internship Recruiting
We offer a pipeline of internships to students with companies that have diversity program and that will recognize the value that their individuality brings to the business.
Scholarships
We offer scholarships to students to help them start advanced educational courses and help them maintain their enrollment.
Mentoring & Social Services
We offer a social services network to help students work through social issues related to LGBT social injustice and family rejection. To facilitate their education we also connect them with services that will help them maintain their social standing.
Inclusive Schools Network
We identify high schools and colleges that have support groups for LGBT students.
Interfaith Network
We are building a network of accepting churches in our marketing area that embrace all diversities.
Scholarship Network
We have a network of regional and national scholarships for LGBT students.
History & Education
We offer a historical archive of the LGBT community in the United States. We also have educational resources to help the community better understand pressing issues and learning opportunities.

Goals & Strategy
Learn about the organization's key goals, strategies, capabilities, and progress.
Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Long term goals include building an endowment fund that will help us sustain the program payouts for the scholarships and volunteer program. That will allows us to focus on community development and engagement when the endowment fund produces enough money to fund both programs.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
We have a strong portfolio of events planned with qualified event planners to help improve year over year. We are also building an engagement model that will allow us to reach 100% of the community, from individual to small business to corporations and supplementary organizations.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
In our recruiting strategies we are looking for qualified volunteers to help build the program. Additionally we are partnering with other nonprofits to help as consultants. The consultants are covering everything from event management, to organizational growth, to long term endowment funding and maintenance.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
We haven't been able to fund the volunteer or internship programs.
