What we aim to solve

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

The region of north Africa where Favor operates was embattled in war and civil unrest for 66 years. Thousands of children were orphaned due to the conflict. Over 66,000 children as young as 5 years old were abducted and trained to kill and destroy by the rebel forces. Many thousands more children have been victims of child trafficking which continues today. Two million people were forcibly interned in camps called Internally Displaced People (IDP) under horrendous conditions with no healthcare, sanitation and very little food. Add to all this the lack of knowledge of God. Our target groups are unreached people groups, Muslim dominated regions and countries, rural communities (i.e., nomadic cattle keepers), witchcraft strongholds and naked warring tribes. We aim to go where others will not go through our mobilized indigenous missionaries. Our model of evangelizing, discipling and training leaders multiplies and spreads into new communities thirsty to know God.

Our programs

What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Portable Bible Schools

Favor’s PBS's train new disciples in spiritually dark and physical war zones. People come from hidden corners for the two-month Biblical training that Favor brings to rural villages, prisons, schools, areas of Islamic strongholds, naked warring tribes, and more, always moving further outward into the unreached tribes. The curriculum incorporates evangelism, discipleship, holy living, church leadership, raising Godly families, bible study, the power of prayer, forgiveness, and character building. They become equipped and learn practically by going out and evangelizing their regions and transforming their community. Favor coordinates in waves of 200+ communities at a time and does 3 waves a year. Each PBS results in 60-180 (average 100+) graduates, plus an additional average of 100 saved per location. This totals 20,000 saved PLUS 20,000 discipled per wave and we do 3 waves a year for a total of 60,000 saved PLUS 60,000 discipled per year.

God’s Institute for Transformation (GIFT) is a home and family for youth who need Jesus with skin on. GIFT is not just a program, but a 24/7 family. GIFT is a holistic solution to a total need: primarily focusing on the transformation of the heart and then mentoring, physical needs, education, vocational skills and opportunities, salvation and discipleship, and starting a new life with Jesus in real community. God’s Institute for Transformation in Uganda and South Sudan provides the following 24/7: Food, Shelter, Clothing, Education and supplies, Mentoring, Counseling and rehabilitation, Real family units, Bibles and study materials, vocational skills, Life skills, career opportunities within and beyond the ministry, Christian community bearing fruit that multiplies. Our staff are personally leading them in discipleship at all hours, they are living in our homes, and we are building shelters as fast as possible to provide safer places to call home.

Favor’s women empowerment program breaks the cycle of women not having education and being viewed as subservient to men. It ends this by equipping women to generate their own income through training in skills, emotional wholeness, parenting and financial management. This income gains them a measure of independence and respect from their husbands and funds the medical and educational needs of all their children. The Favor team teaches women to demonstrate faithfulness through tithing and involvement in church and the program. Skills and resources the women may choose from a variety of vocational projects such as artisan training in beads and textiles; cows and plows farming; animal husbandry involving poultry, pigs or goats; tailoring; bread making. Our team helps the women form their own structure and accountability system. The testimonies of community transformation are coming through the women.

As we bring healing and hope to the people in all directions, we reach out to almost 2 million listeners throughout northern Uganda, and over a million in South Sudan. We are in the process of getting a booster in Juba, SS to increase the coverage. Just this year, our radio station in Uganda has reached the top of the charts. The radio is also a bridge that helps people reconcile and it addresses the trauma resulting from the effects of war and conflicts through the love of Jesus Christ. People can hear testimonies and resolutions of transformed lives in their own language. It helps heal the country and raises awareness of the love of Christ. It also helps squash the stigma and rumors and superstition which are prevalent. The radio ministry helps bring about the truth and the cohesiveness so needed in the communities by developing followers of Christ. Favour FM is the first licensed all-Christian radio in northern Uganda and South Sudan. 100s get saved through the radio station.

Population(s) Served

Favor distributes thousands of Bibles in printed and audio format in dozens of languages - through relationships - in every ministry we conduct. All PBS (Portable Bible School) graduates receive a Bible. The youth programs are diligently centred on a lifestyle of Bible study. We teach adult literacy in the villages, which gives us the opportunity to use the Bible as a primary resource for reading practice. Even through the two radio stations, we allow those who call in with a testimony of how the radio has impacted them are invited to the station to pick up a free Bible. With the majority of the populations we minister to, the Word is the essential core of our foundations. People across South Sudan and Uganda, and beyond, know that Favor is known for the Word of God in action, and for Bibles.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

Favor is committed to train, equip, and mobilize Indigenous leaders to go deeper into regions of 10/40Window. Through our Rural Evangelism and Empowerment Program (REEP) program, Favor is actively serving the diverse people groups in Uganda, South Sudan, Sudan, Ethiopia, Congo, Kenya, Central African Republic and Chad. Favor has plans to reach the nations of Libya, Djibouti, Eritrea and Somalia over the next three years and is setting up regional Missions Stations in 8 countries to manage the growth.

For each year over the next 3 years, Favor plans to:
• Conduct 750+ Portable Bible Schools with an average of 100 trained leaders per community per PBS. PBS equips them advance the Gospel in villages and to advance the Kingdom in nations.

Yearly outcome: 75,000 salvations and trained Indigenous leaders who know their purpose in Christ; know how to lead Kingdom lifestyles in their families and work; and equipped to shepherd and make more disciples within their own communities and beyond.

In 2023 - 2025, Favor’s mobilization plan includes setting up 22 regional Missions Stations which will help manage the growth. Each Mission Station will be run by two trained missionaries who can speak the language of the people in the region. The missionaries there will manage the activities of evangelism and discipleship that will then mobilize the "Blanketing" of their Region with the Gospel. The Field Teachers will conduct a two-year Bible School and will be equipped with Bibles, a Jesus Film Backpack, and equipment and supplies needed for the mission. Through transforming whole communities by the power of the Gospel, we sustain genuine heart transformation in the people, imparted to the next generation by strong families and multiplied to nearby villages in the deepest part of the unreached regions.

Each Mission Station will be run by two trained missionaries who speak the language of the people and who will “Blanket” the region with the Gospel. Each Mission Station is responsible for conducting 10 or more locations for Portable Bible Schools (PBS) as well as
directing Bible Leadership Training for up to 250 indigenous individuals and multiplying the number of missionaries to serve in new regions of the 10/40 window. Thus, each Mission Station will graduate up to 2,500 new missionaries from the 10 PBS in the first two years, and for which Favor must distribute Bibles printed in many languages along with materials for ongoing discipleship.

We have already set up two Missions’ Stations, one in Rumbek, SS and one in Kotido, UG and they are already enabling us to mobilize more strategically, do targeted training and efficient monitoring and evaluation.

Bibles for distribution in every language in both printed and audio formats are given to each person going through the Portable Bibles Classes. Each year, Favor needs to distribute over 100,000 Bibles through its ministry programs including PBS, Evangelism Outreach, Radio requests, and military, prison, and school ministries.

Living in Africa for 20 years- “I know of no other organization over the 20 years I’ve lived in in this African Region that is similar to Favor in delivering: the full Gospel; mobilizing prayer, evangelism, discipleship, church planting, church multiplication; empowering women; operating schools and evangelizing street youth resulting in life transformation; training leaders; delivering medical services; operating two Christian radio stations; Bible distribution in manylanguages; hosting pastors’ conferences; uniting churches, school ministries, prison ministries, military ministries, skill building in farming and sustainability, … and in March 2023 hosting one of the largest Government breakfasts ever held in northern Uganda with Parliament members there - and all run by trained, equipped andempowered Indigenous leaders--we thank Jesus for the Full Gospel in action,” – Carole Ward, author, Founder and CEO, Favor International, INC.

Our first quarter results are in for 2023, Alleluia! In the first quarter of 2023, 29,656 individuals enrolled in Rural Evangelism and Empowerment Program (REEP) and 28,038 recorded salvations. Thus far, Favor has witnessed God's hand in accellerating revival across the land. Our 2023 first quarter results demonstrate twice the number of monthly salvations during any quarter in the previous year.

Favor has hundreds of teams out in the field knocking on doors in the communicates and villages to share the Gospel. It is a dynamic effort every day as our teams move from place to place, street to street, house to house, hut to hut, and household to household. Favor’s staff and missionaries are often in dangerous environments, and we support the actions they need to take for their safety in lieu of documenting their activities.

We conduct Quality Assurance review within each department in Africa, for monitoring our stewardship, products, methods, processes, and productivity.

We partner with organizations that visit us on sight, and who have seen the growth,
vision, and integrity with which the ministry is run. These include World Vision,
Samaritan's Purse, Mission Aviation Fellowship, Bible Society and Bible League, Jesus
Film Project, TEN- Teach Every Nation, Our Call Missions and R2F (Roots to Fruits),
and many more.

We have letters of recommendations from our partners, foundations, churches and ministries who have worked with Favor and alongside us in the field in partnering with vision, support, and visiting on the ground. The government officials in Uganda and South Sudan respect and advocate for our continued programs in their country.

'Accelerate with Excellence' - we live this and move in this and measure ourselves and all
we do - with this phrase- for the King of Kings is worthy of it all and worthy of our best
and greatest stewardship and multiplication of His gifts and talents to each of us!

For 20 years, Favor developed these FOUR life-changing initiatives that have proven to bring powerful change to transform hearts and transform Nations. These Initiatives include:

1. Community Development
2. Education, Discipleship and Leadership Training
3. Prayer and Evangelism
4. Business as Mission and Economic Empowerment

1. Community Transformation
The REEP process begins by meeting village leaders to obtain their support and to schedule a three-day evangelistic outreach that yields a new body of believers who are trained and discipled through our two-month Portable Bible School (PBS). The REEP model is one of evangelizing, discipling, training leaders, and multiplication to many formerly unreached people who have now heard and accepted the gospel of Christ. In addition to the PBS, other ministries we bring to communities include Trauma Counseling(TC), Community Health Education & Evangelism (CHE),Women’s Empowerment (WE), Mobile Medical Clinics (MM),Village Learning Centers (VLC), Church Planting, and Church Construction. These are currently developed programs that are provided according to individual community needs.

2. Education, Discipleship and Leadership Training
Education and discipleship play an important role in the Community Development process. Favor advocates education to sustail discipleship and leadership training provided by establishing:
1. Favor Primary School
2. God’s Institute for Transformation(G.I.F.T.)
3. Leadership Training Institute
4. Vocational Skills Training

Metrics for 2022
R.E.E.P. 436 Loccations and 45 Churches planted.
Leadership Training Institute 750 Missionaries
Training our Trainers 240 Missionary Leaders
Women Empowerment Program 6,814 Women served
Favor Primary Schools 573 Children
Favor Secondary Schools 58 Children
God’s Institute for Transformation 259 children/4 GIFT locations
Favor FM radio stations 3,000,000 listeners (two stations)
Salvations 58,000+

3. Business as Mission – Economic Empowerment
Favor International trains and equips many communities with more efficient agricultural production practices through our women’s empowerment program, which gives more financial independence to groups of women in rural villages to empower their families. Secondly, our own in-house agricultural projects teach vocational skills to youth coming to Jesus off the streets while producing local income generation for ministry and laying the experiential groundwork for a new generation of needed entrepreneurs.

4. Prayer and Evangelism
The power of prayer and knowledge of the gospel of Christ are foundational in strengthening individual and community prayer, teaching, and counseling. Favor focuses on prayer and evangelism, and actively pursues them by establishing: Houses of Prayer, Outreach and Crusades, Community Unity and Prayer Mobilization.
