What we aim to solve

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

Many children who would benefit from hippotherapy are prohibited from receiving this life-changing therapy because they have no health insurance or limited visits, or because their families' health insurance does not cover using the horse as a therapy tool.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

Jacob's Fund's goal is to provide hippotherapy to children whose parents are unable to cover the cost.

Jacob's Fund partners with qualified therapy centers who provide hippotherapy through the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship (PATH) and American Hippotherapy Association (AHA) certified facilities and therapists. We grant scholarships to children to receive hippotherapy and therapeutic riding.

We have successfully partnered with three facilities in the United States, providing scholarships for more than seventy children, in Georgia, Michigan, and Ohio.

We have provided dozens of six-month scholarships to children, and have seen (through our personal visits with the parents and children) the changes in core strength, balance, walking, running, verbal skill and vocabulary.
