OHIO CHAMBER OF COMMERCE RESEARCH FOUNDATION INC
Delivering resources that will drive the economic health of Ohio
Programs and results
What we aim to solve
Businesses, people and policy makers don't know who to trust or where to get credible, non-partisan information about how businesses, citizens and policy makers blend together and ultimately impact the economic well being of Ohio.
We were created to promote a healthy economy in Ohio by exploring strategies and delivering comprehensive, objective research and information.
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Prosperity Pulse
The Prosperity Pulse is a survey and report conducted on a quarterly basis. We survey 400+ Ohio business leaders to gather information on profits, workforce, capital investments and expenses. We then create an index to measure the economic health of the state over time.
Ohio's Innovation Economy Blueprint
We are gathering information - both quantitative and qualitative to create a blueprint for the future of economic development for the State of Ohio. Our goal is to position Ohio for long-term economic growth through innovation.
Lunch, Learn, & Lead Discussion Series
We host periodic informational discussions among policy experts, public officials, and business leaders to increase awareness of and explore solutions to problems facing the business community.

Goals & Strategy
Learn about the organization's key goals, strategies, capabilities, and progress.
Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Ensure Ohio is a state where businesses thrive, communities are safe and strong, and public policy supports economic freedom.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
1. Collect information to provide resources like blueprints and tool boxes to businesses, citizens and our policy makers. 2. Create opportunities for all Ohioans to own their space and place in prosperity.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
We have a support structure through a supporting organization - the Ohio Chamber of Commerce that gives us 125 years of information, stability and credibility.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
We have expanded upon our initial projects by publishing a landmark study on the need for additional coordination across the public and private sectors focused specifically on attraction of venture capital in four main areas, which will push Ohio back to the forefront of innovation and investment and boosting the statewide economy. We have also begun hosting informational discussions on issues of importance to the business community to highlight challenges faced by employers in a range of areas. And we continue to track the health of Ohio's economy in the eyes of the business community through our Prosperity Pulse.
We will continue to pursue studies and projects on public policy issues directly affecting the economic competitiveness of Ohio and publish research that will drive and promote the economic well-being of our state.
