Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Dental Missions
With our hearts grounded in the love of Jesus, our mission goal is to provide dental services to those who are least able to obtain dental care. In rural area of Central America and Mexico where dental care is very limited and often cost is prohibitive.
Our goals have both immediate and long lasting results. Our first goal is to equip our patients with information and hands on training in basic dental hygiene and to provide them with the basics to continue after leaving our clinic. Results of this part of our mission are that children often go and teach their parents and parents teach their children about basic tooth and gum care and whole families and communities become better equipped for long term dental health. When possible we also go to local schools to teach dental hygiene and distribute dental care kits for the children and their families.
An immediate goal is to relieve oral pain that for many has been a chronic condition for years. Often extraction is the only possible solution for long term relief especially in many of our older patients. If a hurting tooth is viable our team will make every effort, within the limits of our facilities, to save that tooth and restore it to full use.
