What we aim to solve
Embrace is working to address the physical, emotional and spiritual brokenness of the many people in Wichita. This often manifests itself as a crisis pregnancy, a sexually transmitted disease, an emotional crisis or a lack of basic life resources for themselves or their child. These needs are often seen as underemployment, lack of education or job training, poor housing and broken relationships. The programs and resources at Embrace are provided to address each of these areas with a holistic approach with the goal of real life and real possibilities for our clients.

Embrace of Wichita, Inc.
Embrace provides over 4000 free services per year. Services include pregnancy testing, STD testing and treatment, marriage and family therapy, ultrasounds, adoption resources, childbirth education, parenting and relationship classes, post-abortion counsel and support, case management for needed life resources, education, maternity and baby clothing.

What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Embrace is trying to provide a safe place for broken and/or struggling individuals and families to find the resources and support for a better life.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
The strategy of Embrace is to provide quality services, practical support, excellent education and personal involvement to meet the individual needs of each client.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
We have the resources and staff available to meet the needs of our clients. For the areas that we are not able to meet in-house, our social worker is connected to a network of programs and resources in the Wichita community which are able to meet most of the identified needs.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
We have expanded our services to meet more identified needs especially through the PMI program which helps the pregnant client with housing, education, transportation, food, clothing, jobs and most other identified needs. This helps us not only encourage the client to choose life for their baby but provide the means for them to parent and support their family well. We have added Abortion-Pill reversal services for those who change their mind after taking the first abortion pill and we have expanded our educational classes.
The next thing for Embrace is to increase the marketing in our community to better serve the Wichita area. We would like to look at ways to have a greater community impact in the lives of individuals and families.
