What we aim to solve
ACTION seeks to address the need for hope for the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the world, especially among the poor and needy.
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Children in Crisis
Millions of children are in crisis all over the world. Sadly they are suffering because they do not have the basics. Millions of boys and girls need food, shelter, education, caring friends, family. They come from broken and abusive families; they are displaced due to war and natural disasters; some run away from rural to urban centers thinking the “grass is greener” in the city surviving by selling recyclables or their bodies, and get involved in crime, gangs and drug use and pushing.
Street kids are in danger of being bullied by older kids, getting sick without access to medical attention, malnutrition, becoming a drug addicted and getting involved in violent crime. They are illiterate with no marketable skills and lost hope for the future.
ACTION is working with Children in Crisis in several countries including Brazil, Colombia, Cambodia, Ecuador, Mexico, Philippines, Uganda, Ukraine, and Zambia.
Ministries include camps, Bible clubs, feeding programs, medical and handicap assistance, education and vocational training, street outreaches, discipleship, Christmas outreach, disaster relief, drop-in centers, orphanages and homes, and counseling for abuse and trauma.
Your donation to children in crisis is greatly appreciated.
Pastoral Leadership Development
ACTION seeks to serve indigenous pastors in three Areas:
1) Pastor Conferences: Pastors from ACTION offer one to three-day conferences to equip and encourage multiple pastors in their home nations, including countries in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. They provide in depth Biblical teaching, educational resources, theological training, and general encouragement.
2) BookShare Services: Many pastors and their families live on less than $1 a day. They are therefore not able to buy basic ministry aids such as Bibles, concordances, or commentaries. Through ACTION’s BookShare ministry, expensive materials are distributed either free or at cost. One thousand study Bibles were recently donated to BookShare for pastors in Uganda and shipped to Africa with many other boxes of new and used books for pastors.
3) Pastoral Leadership Development team serves individually and in groups in Africa, Asia, Europe, and Latin America. They provide ongoing training through mentoring, training seminars, and study materials.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
ACTION exists as a feild worker-sending organization dedicated to the evangelism of the Gospel, Christian discipleship, and opportunity development for the poor.
ACTION is especially focused on reaching children in crisis throughout the world by sending missionaries and supporting ongoing projects that provide opportunities and hope to children in need.
Additionally, ACTION sends experienced pastors and Christian workers to help to equip indigenous Christian churches to help them to be sustainable.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Primarily we train and send missionaries to established and new areas of the world to address the needs of children in crisis and other needs.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
ACTION has 45 years of experience in training and supporting missionaries to effectively impact the poor in 30 countries,
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
Many churches have been strengthened especially by improving the educational level of their pastors. Many children have been rescued from the street by our visitation, camping, residential programs and through reconciliation with their families. Evangelistic events have resulted in people being saved. We have not been able to save everyone in each country where we serve or eliminate poverty, but we understand the Lord's statement in Mark 14:7 “For you always have the poor with you, and whenever you want, you can do good for them" (ESV). So we continue our best efforts and are encouraged with each decision for Christ and each life which is rescued by our outreaches.
