Supported Employment Program
The Supported Employment Program (SEP) is designed to help individuals with disabilities who are deemed to be job-ready (but have difficulties in finding employment) find community employment by providing supported employment services. The job development services are client-driven based on their preferences, strengths, abilities, and needs.
Work Activity Program
Work Activity Program (WAP) services through the regional centers include paid work, work adjustment and supportive habilitation services typically in a sheltered work shop setting. WAPs provide paid work in accordance with Federal and State Fair Labor Standards. Work adjustment services may include developing good work safety practices, money management skills, and appropriate work habits. Supportive habilitation services may include social skill and community resource training as long as the services are necessary to achieve vocational objectives.
The Work Activity Program provides a competent and dependable work force which contracts with various businesses in the community to do a number of jobs that is possible with enhance supervision and accommodation.

Our goal is to expand and grow our service to multi different regions to serve multi diverse clients.

We, ARS is working with different state and government agencies and community organizations to market our service and mission statements.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
ARS is one of oldest and well known community organization based in Los Angeles County since 1972 serving multi diverse, ethnic markets for the developmental disabilities.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
We have new position filled from within our organization which gave our staffs more confidence and feel secure their future with our organization. We are asking our board to take more responsibility and get involved where ARS will subsidize the incurring expenses and fees. We have secured a solid sponsorship with the major bank to support our public training program that will be held on annual basis.
