Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

The Biddeford Historical Society preserves, interprets, and promotes Biddeford, Maine’s rich history and its connections to the wider world. We maintain archives, objects, and sites; host educational programs; and steward the community’s 1759 Meetinghouse in order to deepen the public’s understanding of and engagement with history.

With the establishment of several new committees, we will be dividing our volunteer force into focused "teams". Due to the need for social distancing our 2020 plans have turned to more online programs.

Our executive director is very dedicated to expanding our online presence, and has increased our newsletter frequency from quarterly to monthly. We are keeping our members engaged in every remote way possible.

One large project on our Meeting House: -Windows restored by Northeast Housewrights are finished and paid for. They look beautiful, and will last for many more years to come.
