Campaign for Workplace Freedom
Public employee collective bargaining is new to Virginia and many public employees are unaware that they are not required to join a union or of the alternatives available to them for such services as liability insurance. We help ensure all public employees, but especially teachers, are aware of their options and know how to exercise them.
We do this through direct mail and social media advertising to public employees, maintaining a website for teachers (www.vateacherchoice.com), where they can find information on alternatives.
We also alert public employees who wish to retain their independence but are unfamiliar with collective bargaining of tactics used by union recruiters and of strategies they can utilize to preserve their freedom.
Preserving Prosperity
States with a thriving economy most often do so when their residents have the opportunity to succeed because economic and regulatory barriers are low, individuals and parents are empowered to make informed choices for themselves and their families, and the primary role of government is protecting citizens from each other and the overreach of government itself.
But too often citizens are unfamiliar with the benefits of limited government, maximized freedom, and a marketplace offering free men and free women the opportunity to follow their dream. Our education campaign seeks to preserve prosperity drawing the connections between job creation, opportunity, and ownership of property.
We do this through studies and publications, videos and conferences that educate Virginians on the source of economic prosperity, publicize the dangers to economic prosperity and mobilize communities to advance economic prosperity.
Education Campaign for an affordable and cleaner future.
We believe that good public policy must be entered into with clear eyes – about the costs to taxpayers and ratepayers, the real and complete data that should guide us, the limitations of corrective action and the unintended consequences that will occur.
Time and again, we’ve seen that policy fueled solely by emotion or with only one set of data usually ends up being bad policy. Policymakers – and the public that elects them – deserve to have all the facts. Without them, we head down the road in the wrong direction, and we owe it to our children and our children’s children to ensure that society and government take actions based on facts that will preserve for them an affordable and cleaner world.
Our education campaign reaches Virginians through webinars and conferences, social media advertising and emails, and by taking advantage of those with expertise to ensure an informed public guides the policy decisions of those they elect.
