What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Knock Out Dog Fighting
The Knock Out Dog Fighting program is an inprecedented award-winning youth intervention program designed to teach empathy for animals to children and young adults who are involved in or at-risk of involvement in the cruel and barbaric activity of dog fighting.
Safety Around Dogs
Designed for elementary schools and children's groups to be able to successfully provide dog bite prevention training.
Dog bites are preventable. Dog bite prevention education not only saves children's lives, it is a proactive way of fighting adverse canine legislation and protects the human-canine bond.
Canine 1st Aid & Disaster Preparedness
There is no "911" for pets so this class is essential should you ever need to take life-saving action in the event of heatstroke, cardiac arrest, poisoning, choking, and other life-threatening conditions.
Statistics show that preventable accidents are the leading cause of death among companion animals. According to the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA), one out of four additional animals could be saved if just one pet first-aid technique was applied prior to obtaining emergency veterinary care.
Our 2-hour Canine 1st Aid class will give you the basic information and skills you need to keep your pet safe and to act with confidence during an emergency. Our class is presented by a licensed emergency room veterinarian with 15 years experience. Most pet first aid classes are taught by someone who simply took a class and has no animal emergency medical experience.
Subjects covered in the class include CPR, poisonings, broken bones, heat stroke, bloat, monitoring vital signs, proper emergency procedures, identifying problems requiring immediate attention, and how to keep your pet healthy. Also covers disaster preparedness.
All dog lovers should know canine first aid & safety skills whether you currently have a dog or not! As a dog lover, dog owner or dog professional, you could make the difference in the successful recovery of an injured dog.
