Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Program 1
Community Development: We worked on over 30 homes, which included 10 ramps, 5 roofs, installation of several handicapped accessible shower installations and other miscellaneous needs. These renovations improved the quality of life for the residents and helped prevent further deterioration of their homes.
Program 2
Disaster Relief. We responded to a tornado in Chatsworth, GA and to Hurricane Sally in Perdido Beach, AL. We served more than 50 households in Perdido Beach and at least 30 homes in the Chatsworth tornado. This included cutting trees, cleaning up storm damage and repairing homes. We also served 4 families in north Georgia that were impacted by Hurricane Zeta. We rebuilt a veteran's home in Dalton, GA that was severely damaged by a tree falling in a storm.
Program 3
Temporary Housing. We completed renovations on a house intended to be used as temporary housing for displaced people. This included completely renovating the house and turning a single-family home into a duplex to allow us to serve more families. We also housed a family that was displaced by a tornado. Total Expenses were $13,837, in which $10,927 are capitalized and included in land, buildings and equipment.
