Mission

Bello Machre means Home of My Heart in Gaelic. We provide homes and support to children, teens, adults, and seniors with developmental disabilities. Many of the people we serve live in our 60 community homes located throughout Central and Western Maryland. Bello Machre also provides help and support to hundreds of children, adults, and their families in their own homes. Bello Machre is there to help with whatever is needed, empowering people with developmental disabilities to live life to its fullest

Residential Programs

Residential Programs provide homes, support, and loving care to over 160 individuals with developmental disabilities, enabling them to participate in all aspects of community life. Campus Living, Community Living, and Family Living programs vary slightly from one another but allow individuals to live with others in residential homes, providing all with a loving and nurturing environment.

Respite Care Program provided over 1,400 respite care days this past year to individuals in the Bello Machre respite care home as well as in families' homes through the community.

The Community Supported Living Arrangement program provided support and loving care to 37 individuals with developmental disabilities this year. Based on the person's specific needs and requirements, Bello Machre provides individualized/personal services through the CSLA program, including supervised housing, in-home direct care, transportation, and adult living-skills training.
