What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Catholics Speak Out
Catholics Speak Out - Catholic Church reform; Priests for Equality - Provide inclusive translations of the Bible.
Quest for Peace
Quest for Peace - provides sustainable development aid for Nicaragua. We work with local partners such as the Institute of John XXIII and Fedicamp to address economic opportunities, the housing crises (this project is called Homes of Hope), and climate change.
Haiti Reborn
Haiti Reborn - works in solidarity with the people of Haiti to address sustainable economic opportunities as well as deforestation.
Activist in Residence (AIR)
Since our founding in 1976, Quixote Center has served as a training center for young activists of vision, energy, and talent. The Activist in Residence (AIR) program celebrates the Quixote Center tradition of being a social justice incubator by offering an intensive internship experience for emerging social justice leaders interested in carrying out innovative project. SInce this is a residency, the selected activist should be able to work on some aspect of the project from the Center in College Park, Maryland.
InAlienable
InAlienable focuses on the intersections of immigration policy and mass incarceration, by calling out policies and tactics that aim to dehumanize, and exposed those poised to profit from the “othering” of the neighbor. We aim to remove the profit motive inherent in our current systems, by working to end all programs that allow companies to profit from the lost liberty of our neighbors.
