Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Jovenes Artistas
Jóvenes Artistas is an after school arts program that gives youth facing adversity a safe environment for self expression, confidence and motivation to work through life challenges. The program combines mentoring, arts experience and emotional support to allow students to express their personal stories in a creative way. Every few weeks, at the end of an arts session, the students have the opportunity to participate in a gallery exhibit or reception of their artwork.
Mission: Jóvenes Artistas is dedicated to providing mentorship, arts experiences, and exhibition opportunities in a safe environment for youth facing adversity.

What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Dedicated to Art for All, Maryland Hall is the region’s cultural core, convening and engaging all people—no matter age or background—in arts experiences that strengthen community.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
We have a vast and diverse program, which includes art classes (from ballet to pottery, glass fusion to theatre), exhibitions (three free access galleries), performances (both produced in-house and also in collaboration with our local partners and Resident Companies), and a community outreach program, working with the underserved population in our area (after-school programs, art education, mentoring, and much more). We also have a Media Arts Hub and even a radio station (CRAB Radio)!
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
Maryland Hall has been active in the community since 1980. We have a great staff, volunteers and Board of Directors, a great group of Teaching Artists, the best Resident Companies, and the most amazing art-lover community!
