Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
To provide 24 hour volunteer ambulance service to our community.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
We are consistently recruiting new volunteers to provide 24 hour service, and reorganizing the volunteers we currently have to meet our goal.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
Better scheduling of and communication with our volunteers help us to ensure that we always have volunteers available to accomplish this goal. We are constantly looking for ways to improve our capabilities to provide the services our citizens deserve. We have contracted with Allegany County to provide supplemental staffing to ensure that all calls for assistance are handled in a timely and professional manner.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
We have been working hard over the past 24 months to promote membership with our organization, community outreach programs, and social media to increase interest in volunteering and supporting volunteering in the area. As such, we have seen one of our best years for new volunteer applications in quite some time. However, it takes a lot of time and commitment of the volunteers to make it through training programs (sometimes up to a year), before they are certified providers. We would like to see additional volunteers to help bolster our numbers, and help support our goal of 24 hour coverage without fail.
