What we aim to solve

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

The pet overpopulation problem in our region of Southwest Virginia and Northeast Tennessee is at critical levels. Cats and dogs entering local shelters have poor chances of being adopted. If not adopted or put into rescue organizations then they are euthanized. The Animal Defense League believes the real solution to the overpopulation problems is spay/neuter surgeries. Our mission is to continue to raise funds through donations to provide financial assistance for people seeking surgeries for their pets.
