ADOPT A BLOCK INC.
AAB programs include:
CCMAD Distribution Program - we give away 1 to 2 million pounds of perishable and non-perishable food items, cleaning products and other objects to 100 agencies who distribute it to the needy of Baltimore or assist in disaster relief efforts nationally and internationally.
Community Block Party Program - aids East Baltimore Communities by offering a full day of fun and activity for the children and families. Games, plays, puppets, music, dance, speakers in conjunction with supportive services from the city, state, and local community representatives aid those in need who are homeless, in crisis, or facing such issues as substance abuse or lead paint in their homes.
Annual Home Giveaway - Since 2002, Adopt a Block completely renovates an abandoned home in Baltimore city and donates it to a family that has never before owned a home. The home gets new a new roof, flooring, walls, electrical, plumbing, appliances, windows, doors etc.
