Mission

Founded in 1990, NRMC's mission is to inspire risk-aware leadership in the nonprofit sector in the U.S. and around the world. NRMC helps nonprofit leadership teams embrace practical risk management and evolve their risk assessment and risk management capacities. Through its website, education materials, interactive web apps, and custom consulting and training services, NRMC supports the missions of thousands of nonprofit organizations, NGOs, associations, and federations, and umbrella groups. NRMC teaches leadership teams how to take thoughtful risks and make their nonprofit missions more resilient.

TRAINING and LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

NRMC delivers countless training programs throughout the year, including web-based training available 24/7, bi-monthly member webinars, an annual Risk Summit held in the Fall, and workshops/presentations at conferences sponsored by nonprofit associations and umbrella groups. In 2020 NRMC will host a day-long ERM Symposium; a virtual conference, Risk Connect, is planned for 2021. NRMC's advanced risk program is the Risk Leadership Certificate Program, held in the Fall.

NRMC provides custom consulting services designed to support and evolve the risk assessment and risk management capabilities of large and complex nonprofits. Examples of consulting projects include Risk Assessments, Youth Protection Reviews, the design of custom risk portals, Insurance Coverage Reviews, and Enterprise Risk Management engagements.
