Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Mainstage Productions
Mainstage productions, created by the artistic team of Paata and Irina Tsikurishvili and other Synetic Company Members, have been performed in Washington, DC, Philadelphia, and New York City. "Synetic Theater traffics in rapturously surrealist stagecraft" (Mondello, City Paper), and this creative team has brought such productions as Hamlet...the rest is silence, Host and Guest, The Master and Margarita, Faust, The Dybbuk, Frankenstein, Macbeth, and The Fall of the House of Usher to Washington-area audiences. The company produces 4-5 mainstage shows each year.
Education and Outreach
Classes and Camps for kids and adults in Synetic Studio, year round.
New Voice Series
Training program for emerging directors and choreographers for theater.
Family Series
Family Series shows consist of productions geared toward audiences of all ages with the goal of involving children in the magic of theater at an early age. "An enchanting confection for both youngsters and adults" (Washington Post). Puppet shows bring this complicated and beautiful art form to life for family audiences. Mime productions take a fresh approach to the art of acting without words. The company produces 1-2 Family Shows per year.

- We employ non-traditional ways of gathering feedback on programs and trainings, which may include interviews, roundtables, and external reviews with/by community stakeholders.
- We have long-term strategic plans and measurable goals for creating a culture such that one’s race identity has no influence on how they fare within the organization.
