We strive to recognize and nurture Christ in ourselves and each person that we encounter along the way. Our church is a thriving community of believers, and lovers of the word of God. BPC has a long tradition of outreach and service to its members and the community. We invite you to join us for service on Sunday to experience for yourself the fellowship of Christ.

Our 175 year presence in this community speaks to our organizations continuing capability to help our community. From a low of 39 members after the Civil War to a peak of over 400 in the 1980\u0027s our membership has had its ups and downs. But our resolve is steadfast, and with God\u0027s help we will continue to thrive in the community for many years to come.

Since 1947, the start of our current church register, we have served over 1650 members, with a current active membership of 122. In addition, our support of the community is well recognized as seen by donations and bequests from non-members. 2019 was a celebration year for us recognizing 175 years in the community. We had over a dozen individual events with most focused on the community. This included \u0022the Bedford Awakening: a Community Renewal Event\u0022 which we led and was supported by 18 other local churches. This event has seeded other ecumenical follow-ons, such as walking prayers around Bedford, and a follow-on the the Awakening scheduled for this April.\n\nOur pastor has focused his sermons this year on \u0022All the stories of the Bible\u0022 an adult look at stories we all learned in Sunday school starting with Creation.
