Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Grant Program
John Randolph Foundation is committed to building healthy communities and bright futures in the Tri-Cities region of Virginia. We award about $1 million in grants each year to charitable organizations through competitive grants and donor-initiated grants. The core of our grants address the social determinants of health, which are the many factors influencing the health of individuals and communities. Our service area includes: Hopewell, Petersburg, and Colonial Heights (AKA the Tri-Cities); Prince George County and Fort Gregg-Adams; Southern Chesterfield County; Charles City County; Dinwiddie County; and Sussex County.
Scholarship Program
Through the generosity of our donors, we are proud to offer a number of scholarships for a variety of academic pursuits to local students residing in Hopewell, Prince George, Enon, Chester, Petersburg, Colonial Heights, Dinwiddie, Sussex, Surry, Charles City, and Varina.
