TO PROVIDE THE EQUIPMENT, COACHING STAFF,TRAINING, AND TRANSPORTATION FOR THE MCLEAN CREW CLUB. THIS ALLOWS THE STUDENTS TO PARTICIPATE IN COMPETITIVE HIGH SCHOOL CREW RACING.

The McLean Crew Club promotes, supports, and operates the rowing program at McLean High School. The program annually involves about 80 student athletes and is recognized for its top-quality coaching staff, its dedicated athletes, and its success in local, regional, and national competitions. McLean Crew athletes also are outstanding students who are strongly committed to academics; the discipline and time-management skills needed to become an outstanding athlete often translate into excellence in schoolwork.

Crew Club

What is the organization aiming to accomplish?

To build and develop future leaders through rowing. Rowing teaches important life skills: Commitment, Precision, Focus, Respect, Trust, Hard work, and Mindfulness.

Participation in local, regional, and national rowing competitions.

We are primarily a volunteer operated non-profit which hires team coaches, purchases the necessary equipment, and raises funds.

Maintaining and growing the number of students at McLean High School who are passionate about rowing.

Membership in the club is stable at about 80 rowers and interest continues to grow each year.
