MUSICLINK FOUNDATION

Creating musicians, one student at a time

Arlington, VA   |  www.musiclinkfoundation.org

Mission

Any child who has musical potential deserves the opportunity to nurture this talent to its full extent. MusicLink programs link promising students in financial need with professional music teachers who provide ongoing lessons for as long as the child wishes to learn. The MusicLink Foundation recruits teachers willing to teach reduced-price lessons, and provides instruments, materials, camp scholarships, and performance opportunities for our students. We work closely with our network of business partners, sponsors and community donors to provide ongoing support for our teachers and students.  MusicLink creates musicians, one student at a time.

Notes from the nonprofit

The MusicLink Foundation has reached over 6,600 students, providing lessons to underprivileged students throughout the United States and reaching into Canada. Our teachers have provided over $12 million of in-kind instruction. We have conducted research that shows students have received scholarships to prestigious colleges after years of MusicLink instruction. Interviews show that the relationship between the teacher and student is rated as the most significant aspect of their music education.
