Mission

The Cacapon Resort State Park Foundation was created 30 years ago with the mission of supporting this beautiful park in the eastern panhandle of West Virginia. We are passionate in our desire to share the splendors of this beautiful space with visitors from near and far. Over this time we have completed numerous projects, such as a stacked log nature center, gazebo for events, picnic shelters, playground, scenic overlook just to name a few. We are excited about the projects in the works with which we strive to further enrich the experiences of our visitors.

Mountain Biking/Hiking Trails

Mountain Biking has come to Cacapon-and we couldn't be more excited! Existing trails are being improved; new trails are being built-most especially a Beginner Trail which currently does not exist at Cacapon. This is being accomplished with donations, grants and an amazing volunteer corps.
