What we aim to solve
The ministry of Grace has experienced tremendous growth in various areas and programs over the past 5 years, especially in Christian Education. The greatest need we have are additional facilities and public sewer utilities. We have purchased approximately 16 additional acres of property, and have the need to add and replace existing facilities. Master Planning tells us that an additional 247,000 square feet will be needed within the next 3-5 years to replace modular classrooms in order accommodate the growth of Grace Christian School & Child Development Center. Our team continues to plan and establish building costs. We plan to begin a Capital Fundraising Campaign in the next fiscal year.

GRACE CHRISTIAN SCHOOL
GRACE CHRISTIAN SCHOOL is an open enrollment, fully and dually accredited (ACSI & AdvanceEd), K-12 school that was founded in 1970. The first year there were a total of twenty students in kindergarten and first grade. The next year, grades two through four were added and enrollment reached sixty-four students. In the years that followed, grades five through twelve were added with the first graduating class in 1985. The school presently has classes for children beginning in Kindergarten through twelfth grade, serving 850+ students. (Preschool is also available for children four years and under in our Early Child Development Program).
Over the years, the facilities and property have also grown. The 38 acre campus includes a number of spacious classrooms. The gymnasium; as well as the soccer, softball and baseball fields provide good areas for athletic practices and games.
The school falls under the authority and corporation of the church.
Grace Christian Child Development Center
Grace Christian Child Development Center was founded in 1999 and since has become the premier center for Early Childhood Development in Central North Carolina, serving over 400 children, ages infant through preschool. For the past 16 years we have been voted by the general public as the Best of the Best DayCare & Pre-School (Sanford Herald). There are two campuses to serve the community. (Main Campus and North Lee Campus at 109 Log Cabin Lane both in Sanford, NC). At Grace, we consider it a privilege to be a part of each child’s life. We realize family is most important and our goal is to work hard to assist families in nurturing and training their children while in our care. It is our desire to give each child who enters our doors a solid foundation of Christian love and academic fundamentals. We teach them, daily, of God’s unconditional love and strive to be godly examples to all of our children and families.
The CDC falls under the authority of Grace Chapel Church.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Our purpose is to reach our community with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Grace Chapel Church's Mission is to Love like Jesus.
Our core values are:
Love People Like Jesus,
Lead People to Jesus,
Teach People About Jesus,
Train People to Serve Jesus and
Send People to Share Jesus.
Whether it be through our Church, Grace Christian School or Grace Christian Child Development Center, our mission is the same; LOVE LIKE JESUS
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Whether it be through various church programs and services or through the wide variety of community outreach; our church serves our community with efforts like Love Week, Disaster Relief, Vacation Bible School, Missions Support, Children's & Teen Ministries as well as service to widows and military veterans.
Grace Christian School & Child Development Center are open enrollment ministries. Our goal isn't to insulate ourselves from the world, but to welcome people and reach them with the gospel of Jesus Christ. As a dually accredited school of excellence, our Christ centered approach to education performs and produces at the highest level.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
Currently, our main campus consists of approximately 35 acres and 120,000 square feet of facilities such as a sanctuary, classrooms, café, nursery, pre-school and gymnasium. In addition, we have athletic fields and playgrounds.
As growth continues, we pray that we will obtain the necessary funds to build additional facilities needed to minister to the growing community.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
Since the founding of Grace Chapel Church, tens of thousands of people have been ministered to in ways that were appropriate to their need at the time. We want people to know that Jesus loves them and as His followers, we love them too. One step leads to the next and our model is this:
We Love People like Jesus, in order to
Lead People to the Saving Grace of Jesus, and then we
Teach People about Jesus, so that we can
Train People to Serve Jesus and then
Send People to Share Jesus with others
Currently, our ministry serves over 1400 children (infant - 12th grade), their families, our staff of 277 and our 600+ church members every day of the week. We Love our Community and we want them to see and experience the Love of Jesus Christ!

- We disaggregate data to adjust programming goals to keep pace with changing needs of the communities we support.
- We employ non-traditional ways of gathering feedback on programs and trainings, which may include interviews, roundtables, and external reviews with/by community stakeholders.
- We have long-term strategic plans and measurable goals for creating a culture such that one’s race identity has no influence on how they fare within the organization.
- We seek individuals from various race backgrounds for board and executive director/CEO positions within our organization.
- We help senior leadership understand how to be inclusive leaders with learning approaches that emphasize reflection, iteration, and adaptability.
- We engage everyone, from the board to staff levels of the organization, in race equity work and ensure that individuals understand their roles in creating culture such that one’s race identity has no influence on how they fare within the organization.
