What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Crisis Intervention and Victim Advocacy: We maintain a 24-hour crisis line staffed by trained volunteers who are available to victims of sexual assault, their family and friends. We provide ongoing support to victims, their families and friends, and provide companion service by accompanying them to hospitals, law enforcement agencies, and courts at their request. We provide support groups for victims of sexual assault. Children's Advocacy Center: Through our nationally certified Children's Advocacy Center, we provide a child-friendly location for interviewing victims. We coordinate weekly interdisciplinary review team meetings where recommendations for further investigation and/or treatment can be made for each child victim. We provide direct services to child victims and their non-offending family members.
Interagency Coordination: We work to encourage the establishment and maintenance of procedures and guidelines for law enforcement officials, medical personnel, court personnel, news media, and other professional groups to deal sensitively with victims of sexual assault.
Education and Training: We provide community education through public speaking and to maintain a variety of resources such as films, brochures, books and other materials. We welcome invitations to speak in the community.
