Lillie's Fund
CARE’s Lillie's Fund is a targeted spay/neuter program, subsidizing sterilization surgeries for pets owned by lower income families in Chatham County. CARE offers low and no cost vouchers for spay/neuter surgery, which include needed vaccinations, pain medication, and an optional microchip. This program is available to Chatham County residents with a household income of less than $40,000.

What significant change resulted from feedback?
We have extended free spay/neuter surgeries to folks with disabilities, who are elderly or financially inconvenienced at this time. Some of this is a result of our response to difficulties faced during the pandemic and lockdowns and others a reaction/response to what we see in our community. We have a very high Hispanic population in our county.
