AMBASSADOR BAPTIST COLLEGE

Ambassador Baptist College exists to prepare the next generation of full-time Christian workers for local church ministry in Baptist churches. This is accomplished by giving every graduate in a four-year program a Bible core of at least 60 hours. This core is coupled with practical classes in the student’s desired area of training. ABC seeks to provide the best spiritual and academic preparation for the ministry.

ABC provides a Bible core in its training that takes students from Genesis to Revelation book-by-book in the classroom. In the course of 4 years, the student will be taken through studies of books of the Bible as well as major theological subjects.

ABC provides a faculty that is experienced in the ministry. Teachers are not teaching theory, but from experience. The New Testament pattern is the experienced training the inexperienced. Many Christian colleges use graduate assistants to teach in the classroom. The best training comes from seasoned servants of Christ.

ABC has a family atmosphere to promote personal interaction and involvement. If one is to be a minister of Christ, he must be able to minister to people. Students develop their interpersonal skills in dormitory life and develop friendships that will encourage them in future ministry.
Students are required to be faithful and active in local church ministry. One cannot lead in the local church until he learns to serve in the local church. Every week, our students participate in many facets of local church ministry. They are gaining valuable experience and putting what they learn in the classroom into practice. Students have the opportunity to be mentored by a pastor as well as teachers in the classroom.

An experienced and qualified faculty with an average of more than 20 years in the ministry provides quality training in the classroom. A campus consisting of more than 30 acres provides adequate building space, activity fields, and housing to accommodate 250 students. A regular chapel program provides the students with an intense spiritual challenge that is needed for personal growth. With more than 1000 alumni, our students have the ability to network with graduates for ministry opportunities and development.

In a material sense, the college has revived an old public school campus into a flourishing college campus. With more than 30 acres, the college has room to expand. With enough dormitory and classroom space to accommodate 250 students, the college is postured for growth. The administration and faculty are in agreement philosophically and are unified in our purpose.

In a spiritual sense, our students serve in more than 20 Baptist churches in the area each semester. Their involvement in youth ministry, music ministry, and other facets of service are impacting local congregations.
During the summer months, our students serve in ministry internships in churches around the world. This international reach extends to several continents in any given summer.

The biggest task that lies ahead is to challenge a younger generation in churches to serve in full-time vocational ministry. There seems to be a decrease in this area in recent years. Jesus said Himself that “the harvest is truly plenteous, but the laborers are few.” More countries need to be reached with the Gospel. More churches need to be planted. More lives need to be impacted with the Gospel.
