What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Bachelor of Biblical Studies (Men)
All four-year degree programs have a minimum of 60 hours of Bible and take the student systematically from Genesis to Revelation in the classroom. Each student completing the undergraduate course of study will be a Bible major and will also double major in the specialized course of study listed below:
Pastoral Studies: The pastoral studies major combines a strong core of Bible classes (67 hours) with practical preaching and training courses (32 hours) to prepare a man for pastoral ministry. With seventeen hours of electives, the student is able to choose from various subjects to give him a well-rounded foundation.
Evangelism: Men desiring to be full-time evangelists receive regular training from seasoned evangelists to prepare for local church ministry. Built on a pastoral studies core, the student is taught the role of the evangelist in the local church and many practical aspects of the ministry of the evangelist.
Missions: Students who desire to preach the Gospel in a cross-cultural context either home or abroad must have a strong Bible foundation and an emphasis on preaching. In addition to a strong Bible core, the student will receive detailed training from seasoned instructors on the issues and challenges of missionary life.
Youth Ministries: Built on the pastoral studies core, the youth ministries major receives thorough training in philosophy of youth ministry as well as current youth issues. The combination of Bible and preaching classes with Christian education will prepare the graduate for youth ministry and future pastoral ministry.
Second Man (Music): Men desiring to lead local church music programs receive a strong Bible core coupled with detailed musical instruction. An emphasis is placed on music theory, arranging, and vocal and instrumental technique.
English Bible Studies: The English Bible curriculum provides the basics necessary to prepare a man for full-time ministry should the Lord so direct. Included in the course requirements are sixty credit hours in Bible and thirty-two hours in practical training. Sixteen hours of electives enable the student to round out his program of studies in areas of special interest to him, such as additional Bible, youth ministries, Christian education, or music.
BACHELOR OF BIBLICAL STUDIES (Ladies)
Missions: Students who desire to share the Gospel in a cross-cultural context either home or abroad must have a strong Bible foundation. In addition to a strong Bible core, the student will receive detailed training from seasoned instructors on the issues and challenges of missionary life. Ladies in the missions program also take courses in Christian education.
English Bible Studies: The English Bible curriculum provides the basics necessary to prepare a woman for full-time ministry should the Lord so direct. Included in the course requirements are sixty credit hours in Bible and twenty-three hours in Christian education. Thirteen hours of electives enable the student to round out her program of studies in areas of special interest to her, such as additional Bible, or music. Each student completing the English Bible Studies Curriculum will major in Bible.
BACHELOR OF ELEMENTARY EDUCATION (Ladies)
This program is designed to train women for local church ministry in the Christian school on the elementary level. Teachers are taught to be Baptist by conviction and faithful to the local church.
BACHELOR OF CHURCH MINISTRIES (Ladies)
Women desiring to be preachers’ wives receive a broad overview of various local church ministries. Bible, general education, Christian education, and secretarial courses provide the student with a familiarity with local church ministry.
BACHELOR OF SACRED MUSIC (Ladies)
The ladies’ music program is intended to prepare ladies to have an effective music ministry in a local church. They are required to take a minimum of sixty hours of Bible and twenty-four hours of music. Eleven hours of electives enable them to supplement their studies with more Bible, Christian education, or secretarial courses. The graduate will receive a double major in Bible and music.
ASSOCIATE OF CHURCH SECRETARIAL STUDIES (Ladies)
This two-year program equips women to serve as a church or Christian school secretary. In addition to Bible courses, the student also receives training in office etiquette and the usage of essential software for secretarial duties to assist pastors and/or school administrators.
GRADUATE OF THEOLOGY DIPLOMA
This 99-hour degree program can be completed in three years. It provides a combination of Bible and practical course and is transferable to any four-year program at ABC.
CERTIFICATE IN BIBLE
For those who desire a Bible foundation and are uncertain of their future occupation, this one-year program provides a concentrated program of Bible study to challenge men and women. Upon graduation, the student can enroll in a four-year program at ABC or transfer to a liberal arts Christian college to continue their training. (Several Christian colleges have recognized the quality of ABC’s classes and have transferred our credits. For a list of these schools, please contact the academic dean’s office. It is the student’s responsibility to contact other schools to confirm the possibility of transfer credit.)
MASTERS OF BIBLICAL STUDIES
For students who completed their undergraduate degree at another college, this 32-hour program is customized to strengthen the weaknesses of the student’s undergraduate training.
MASTER OF MINISTRIES
Realizing that many men are already active in full-time ministry, this course of study was designed to help those who have graduated from Bible college and desire to further their education. Eight modules challenge the student in advanced ministry concepts. Prior ministry experience is required as a prerequisite for this program.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Ambassador Baptist College exists to prepare the next generation of full-time Christian workers for local church ministry in Baptist churches. This is accomplished by giving every graduate in a four-year program a Bible core of at least 60 hours. This core is coupled with practical classes in the student’s desired area of training. ABC seeks to provide the best spiritual and academic preparation for the ministry.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
ABC provides a Bible core in its training that takes students from Genesis to Revelation book-by-book in the classroom. In the course of 4 years, the student will be taken through studies of books of the Bible as well as major theological subjects.
ABC provides a faculty that is experienced in the ministry. Teachers are not teaching theory, but from experience. The New Testament pattern is the experienced training the inexperienced. Many Christian colleges use graduate assistants to teach in the classroom. The best training comes from seasoned servants of Christ.
ABC has a family atmosphere to promote personal interaction and involvement. If one is to be a minister of Christ, he must be able to minister to people. Students develop their interpersonal skills in dormitory life and develop friendships that will encourage them in future ministry.
Students are required to be faithful and active in local church ministry. One cannot lead in the local church until he learns to serve in the local church. Every week, our students participate in many facets of local church ministry. They are gaining valuable experience and putting what they learn in the classroom into practice. Students have the opportunity to be mentored by a pastor as well as teachers in the classroom.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
An experienced and qualified faculty with an average of more than 20 years in the ministry provides quality training in the classroom. A campus consisting of more than 30 acres provides adequate building space, activity fields, and housing to accommodate 250 students. A regular chapel program provides the students with an intense spiritual challenge that is needed for personal growth. With more than 1000 alumni, our students have the ability to network with graduates for ministry opportunities and development.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
In a material sense, the college has revived an old public school campus into a flourishing college campus. With more than 30 acres, the college has room to expand. With enough dormitory and classroom space to accommodate 250 students, the college is postured for growth. The administration and faculty are in agreement philosophically and are unified in our purpose.
In a spiritual sense, our students serve in more than 20 Baptist churches in the area each semester. Their involvement in youth ministry, music ministry, and other facets of service are impacting local congregations.
During the summer months, our students serve in ministry internships in churches around the world. This international reach extends to several continents in any given summer.
The biggest task that lies ahead is to challenge a younger generation in churches to serve in full-time vocational ministry. There seems to be a decrease in this area in recent years. Jesus said Himself that “the harvest is truly plenteous, but the laborers are few.” More countries need to be reached with the Gospel. More churches need to be planted. More lives need to be impacted with the Gospel.
