Mission

The mission of the Chrysalis Foundation for Mental Health is to develop resources to meet mental health needs of adults and children in our communities. The vision of the Foundation is to be a leader in the support of mental health in North Carolina, facilitating innovative and successful programs and needed services to enable individuals living with mental illness and disabilities to live life to their fullest potential.

What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

1)Affordable, permanent housing for homeless persons and/or persons with mental health, substance abuse or other disabilities and their families. We currently own or manage 36 units of housing and have assisted in the development of 24 additional units. We serve an average of 50 adults and children 2)Free therapeutic, day camp for children with behavioral or developmental diabilities. We serve an average of 60-65 children per year 3)Pyscho-social rehabilitation day program for adults with severe and persistent mental illness. We serve an average of 31 persons on any given day. 4)Long-term (up to 1 year) residential substance abuse, mental health and support service for pregnant women and parenting women and their children. We serve an average of 16 women and their familes per year.
