Smart Start

Chatham County Partnership administers and oversees implementation of Smart Start, North Carolina's comprehensive early childhood education initiative, in Chatham County, NC. We have developed effective results oriented program services that are provided under direct service contracts with various local human service agencies and community partners. Additionally our staff and board work with private sector funders to develop and implement projects that enhance the quality of opportunities for our young children to grow up healthy, strong, and ready to succeed. These projects include the development of community parks and playgrounds that are designed for the very youngest children and their families. We also work with small business owners of child care facilities to establish and sustain high quality early childhood education programs for young children. Our efforts are strengthened by our success in working collaboratively and planning strategically to achieve our vision.
