Our primary mission is to "serve and promote the empowerment of each individual".  We furthermore define the word "violence" in our title to mean "an act against any individual that deprives them of their basic human rights".

"My Story"

"My Story" is an effort on the part of AVCT to collect stories of violent acts from people in the community - both perpetrators and victums.  Violence is a broad topic that covers from abuse of all natures, homelessness and other violent acts that deprive individuals of their human rights.

Population(s) Served

Supporting an emerging 501(c)3 organization by taking their efforts under our wings and getting them started in their efforts to provide a home for foster children (specifically female) exiting the system at age 18, and preparing them to transition into the world of education and the workforce.

Training volunteers to go into the community, visiting schools, churches, civic groups and more to present information about violence in the community and the heavy negative impact that it has.
