Continue our mission

Paw's Place receives unwanted, abused and neglected animals from the community, and in return, provides healthy, spayed/neutered companion animals to loving homes. Paw's Place has several programs with the community schools to provide animal care education, and volunteer work programs. In addition, PAW'S PLACE feels that it makes a difference in the community with its spay/neuter program, helping to prevent the over-population of dogs.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

Paws Place Dog Rescue is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and adoption of dogs. Our goals are as follows:

• We save pets
• We nurse them back to health
• All animals are spayed and neutered to help reduce the surplus population of homeless animals
• We provide a sanctuary for all until they are adopted
• Most of all we are dedicated to finding them a loving home, no matter how long it takes – one life at a time.

Our strategy is to maintain a shelter facility to provide a safe, healthy residence for the dogs we rescue until they are adopted. We strive to provide an alternative to people in our community who feel they must surrender their dogs for financial, health or personal family reasons. We employ a multi-step adoption process to secure the best possible home for an adopted dog. This increases the chances of a permanent home and accounts for our low return rate.

Our capabilities include our kennel facility that can house up to 31 dogs. We have a dedicated staff of volunteers and workers who are knowledgeable, experienced and passionate about providing loving care to the dogs in residence. We reach out to the community by inviting school organizations and scouts to visit our facilities and learn about rescue. Our capabilities include frequent adoption events, publicity, fundraising and promotion which have enabled us to sustain our organization for over 20 years. Our Board is comprised of professional people with diverse talents and abilities to lead our organization. We are active on Facebook and have an attractive and current website.

Our progress has been excellent. We rescue about 140 dogs per year and find permanent homes for a similar number. Our financial support is growing. Each year we receive approximately one third of our donations from new supporters.
