Mission

The Girls Softball League of Westfield (GSLW) is a not-for-profit organization, the purpose of which is to provide the girls of Westfield, NJ with the opportunity to learn and to play fastpitch softball. As a general proposition, the GSLW’s programs are open to all girls (grades K-12) who live in Westfield or who go to school in Westfield. And, with some exceptions, the GSLW’s programs are organized and run entirely by volunteers from the Westfield community.

Promote the game of softball and provide an opportunity for girls to play. Our primary goal is to prepare our players to become strong softball players through hard work, commitment and stronger competition.

Community outreach; additional training programs and opportunities; competitive travel programs.

Committed volunteers; partnerships with local trainers and facilities.

Local HS team success long term; short term increase enrollment and retention

Developed many players who have transitioned to HS and college and also have given back to the program; we have competitve travel teams; our registration numbers are stable.
