Goals & Strategy
Learn about the organization's key goals, strategies, capabilities, and progress.
Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
the Fund seeks to open more chapters throughout the US. Curently having 17 at the end of 2015 with 2 more scheduled for 2016. THE GOAL IS TO OPEN 3 MORE CHAPTERS AND REACH THE $5,500,000.00 MARK IN DIRECT FINANCIAL AID. The Fund will seek to expand our area of giving to at least 5 more geographic areas of the US.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
keep the administration costs to a minimum and allow each chapter to focus on the local area needs. Ensuring that the National office supports all the local chapter programs through training and corporate support. Brining each chapter to National events so the local members may meet and learn about their counter parts across the Country.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
The Fund has expanded programs to include emergency response to natural disasters, more funding for line of duty death and illness, more funding for training programs to those in the rural communities, mental health training and one on one counseling. We have several corporate sponsors and government grants that assist us with our goals.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
The Terry Fund is the first not for profit non fire department who has received a SAFER grant to assist fire departments across the nation with recruitment and retention. We received a large grant to assist those affected by Hurricane Sandy to help first responders and their families with emotional and mental health issue.
