Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

Less than 1% of global development aid is deployed at the local level, which is a missed opportunity and reinforces poverty and inequality. By investing directly at the grassroots level, and seeing funds transferred and projects implemented quickly, World Connect strengthens existing local capacity, social capital, and collective action. World Connect centers local leadership in advancing locally-led development, which ensures inclusive engagement of communities in designing their own development efforts, tactically positions women, marginalized groups, non-elite and non-formal actors in positions of leadership, increases the financial and human capital investment of local communities, and leads to successful development outcomes in health, education, and economic opportunity. World Connect seeks to implement its approach at a radically higher volume, to shift the power to the grassroots level.
