Horse Training

Training budget necessary to rehabilitate and rehome horses. We work with professional trainers to evaluate, create a training plan and train horses giving them a better chance of rehoming.

Population(s) Served
Adults

Using the "Cowboy Poetry" curriculum and selected students, Triple R Horse Rescue horses have been instrumental in teaching: Leadership, Trust, Punctuality, Thriftiness, Honesty, Making Good Decisions, and other character lessons. There is a classroom component of each unit and then the hands-on at the Ranch. The horses then become their teachers. The transformation in the selected students has just been amazing! Student smiles, confidence, and eagerness to participate are some of the outward signs.  The students have been applying it in their personal lives as well and that is why the principal and vice-principal of this school have approved to continue the program.  We are are looking forward to the next school year!

Goals & Strategy

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

Our goal is to be available when a horse is in need, provide resources to keep animals healthy, happy, and be ready for adoption to a selected family and healthy home. During this process, we continue to educate and support all adopters or potential adopters. The more eyes we have in the field, the more horses we can support and rehabilitate. We also work with many people who have trust, PTSD, or learning disabilities, all of this also plays a huge role in a horses life that has not had all the love and support they receive from all.

Assess every animal as an individual
Select the right home for the equine and family
Follow up 30/90/180 days after adoption for complete equine care
Teach Youth for the future of our equine
Educate communities, law enforcement, and all that are interested to better support equine

We are a non-profit supported by volunteers, local businesses, and donations. We have a completely committed board of staff members who have a great passion for animals. We have worked with businesses and other groups to better educate the public on equine care and health. We also offer training skills and tips to help others create a bond of trust with each animal.

We have successfully built a solid foundation for taking care of our animals and finding them forever homes that fit.
We have provided a safe and healthy living area for all equine.
We are always in need of volunteers and donations for everyday chores, feedings, and animal care.
