What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Homeless Services
More than 270,000 hot meals/year are served by caring volunteers who share love with people who may have gone days without food. Emergency shelter for men is available for up to 30 consecutive nights and a shelter for women in the winter is available off site.
Men's & Women's Recovery Programs
New Life Program for men - In our free nine-month Christian residential addiction recovery program, up to 25 men leave behind the burden of the past to embrace a healthy new life.
New Faith Program for women - In our free year-long Christian transitional recovery program, women find safety and healing from trauma, abuse, domestic violence and addiction. Each woman is provided a private apartment during her stay. Children up to 12 can stay with their mothers too.
Free Medical Clinic
Our Free Medical Clinic provides essential care for people who are struggling in poverty and have little or no health insurance. The Clinic is staffed and administered by Nurse Practitioner, Lynn Scott and more than 100 volunteer healthcare professionals including doctors, RNs, pharmacists, etc.
Free Clothing Distribution Center
Clean, usable clothing supplied by generous donors is given away free of charge at our spacious distribution center, Blessingdale's. Almost 500,000 items are given away each year to needy neighbors.
Learning & Resource Center
The Learning Center is open to the community and our program guests. It is a required component of the men’s New Life recovery program and is utilized by the New Faith Program for women as needed. It provides computer literacy, GED preparation, Bible studies, job skills/employment readiness, resume preparation and job placement.
Transitional Living Program
Transitioning from homelessness to a new stable life can be a challenging journey. Even after successfully overcoming addiction, it can be difficult for an individual to achieve independent housing and employment at first.
Many graduates have limited funds. Low-income housing areas are often saturated with drug and alcohol use, making it difficult to maintain sobriety.
Our Transitional Living Program provides a safe, supportive environment to help people move forward in a healthy lifestyle.
Your support provides qualified graduates of our program:
• 43 studio and one-bedroom apartments
• a community banquet room
• commercial kitchen
• education/resource center
• clothing center
