St. Luke's Free Medical Clinic changes the lives of underserved Spartanburg Residents by providing quality and compassionate medical care.

Notes from the nonprofit

St. Luke's was voted "Best Nonprofit in Spartanburg" in the Herald-Journal's Best of the Best contest. The Clinic belongs to both the State and National Free Clinic Associations. Senior and Management staff regularly attend conferences.

Changing lives since 1992

St. Luke's operates a primary care clinic five days a week.  Volunteer MDs also conduct in-house Dermatology, Rheumatology, Gynecology, Pulmonary, and Orthopedic clinics. -Non-clinic hours are devoted to support tasks such as chart documentation and review, patient follow-up, data entry, donor acknowledgement, pharmacy inventory, medication access, volunteer scheduling, appointment scheduling, and general office tasks. St. Luke's also operates an in-house pharmacy that can provide most critical medications. The clinic does not stock controlled drugs of any kind. St. Luke's is staffed by 9 full-time employees, 4 part-time employees, and a total of approximately 150 volunteers per year. The Clinic provides approximately 10 million dollars worth of health care services to 2000 individuals per year on a budget of approximately $1,000,000.
