Mission

The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law. Scout Oath - On my honor I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law; to help other people at all times; to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight. Scout Law - A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent.

Scouting Program

Cub Scouting - Youth grades K-5 in single-gender groups. The gender-inclusive program offers fun and challenging activities that promote character development and physical fitness and support academic and social-emotional learning. Family involvement is an essential part of the program.

Scouts, BSA - Youth 11-17. Scouts BSA is the traditional Scouting experience for youth in the fifth grade through high school. Service, community engagement and leadership development become increasingly important parts of the program as youth in single-gender groups lead their own activities and work their way toward earning Scouting’s highest rank, Eagle Scout.

Venturing is a youth-led co-ed program for youth 14-20 years old. Crews plan and execute a yearly calendar of high adventure activities.

Exploring is a co-ed career exploration program for youth ages 14-20 years old. Youth shadow professional, complete exciting activities, and receive one-on-one mentorship from professionals in the field.
