Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Children's Village
⦁ The Children’s Village (family-style group homes) for youth who are victims of abuse, abandonment or neglect. Each home is staffed by full-time house parents who provide a nurturing family environment.
⦁ A Safe Place agency: Children in crisis can go to over 70 locations in the metro area if they feel they are in danger. We are on call 24/7 to bring these children to safety at The Children’s Village where our staff works with their parents to reunite them.
⦁ The Crossroads Foster Care & Adoption Program was launched in 2018 to find and equip wonderful families for children in need of a loving home. There are currently more than 15,000 children in foster care in the state of Georgia alone.
Christian City Independent Living Communities
⦁An affordable independent living community for adults age 60+ in a serene and convenient location with amenities to encourage a vibrant lifestyle. This includes 212 affordable life-lease patio homes.
HUD subsidized apartments for senior citizens
⦁Subsidized independent living community for adults age 60+ in a serene and convenient location with amenities to encourage a vibrant lifestyle. This includes 287 apartments.
Volunteer program
Over 200 adults volunteer to provided services to the residents of Christian City, as well as the skilled nursing center and assisted living center.

What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
1) Unite more children who have been separated from their birth parents, if possible.
2) Help families with children solve key issues that have caused a separation.
3) Recruit more foster parents to provide foster children with forever homes to be part of the solution to 15,000 children in Georgia who need placement or adoption.
3) Frustrate human traffickers.
4) Provide low income senior citizens a quality living community where they can thrive and live abundantly.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
1) Provide high quality residential group homes with full time houseparents for foster children who are separated from their birth family and/or are waiting for foster placement and/or adoption.
2) Provide children in our care with the best schools for their educational development.
3) Provide individualized and family therapy to assist in the reunification of families.
4) To create a network of foster families in Metro Atlanta through our Crossroads Foster Care & Adoption Program.
5) Provide a high level of support, training, supervision and respite for our foster parents to ensure successful and long-lasting placements.
6) Through our Safe Place Program, rescue runaway and homeless youth from human traffickers, 24/7.
7) Offer HUD subsidized apartments and affordable patio homes for lower income senior citizens that are amenity rich and have opportunities for quality social interaction with others.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?

What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
Programs for children:
1) Obtained a 3-yr CARF accreditation.
2) Consistently score above 100% on our field reviews.
3) 100% graduation rate for children who stay with us through high school.
4) New Children's Village homes have all been built-out and provide a state of the art and loving environment for the children who live there.
5) Licensing has been obtained for the new Crossroads Program (foster care and adoption) and working on a contract with the state of Georgia.
6) Expansion of the Safe Place Program to more locations in the Southside and other areas of Atlanta.
Programs for senior adults:
1) Campus recreation director hired and comprehensive program portfolio installed.
2) Recreation center built.
3) Outdoor walking track, putting green, bocce and shuffleboard courts installed.
4) AARP grant secured to create a walkable community environment.
5) Over 50% of residents now active in recreational and social programs - with some taking on volunteer program leadership roles.
