Movers, Shakers & Policymakers Breakfasts

Policy briefings on key regional issues, including transportation, water and education.

Population(s) Served

Each year the Civic League convenes the current classes of the region's leadership groups (i.e., Leadership Douglas, Leadership DeKalb, etc.) at the State Capitol and gives them the opportunity to participate in a mock legislative session centered around an issue of regional importance. Past sessions have dealt with transportation finance and ethics.

Population(s) Served

A yearlong citizen conversation on transportation, growth and the future of the Atlanta region. Specific activities include a 10-county town hall, facilitated public meetings in each of the 10-counties and a transit riders forum.

Population(s) Served

An annual daylong program for 400+ metro Atlanta neighborhood leaders where they can learn about best practices, tools and resources for building safer, smarter, healthier, better communities.
