Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

HART is working to evolve into one of the region's major semi-professional theater companies with the goal to double its budget within the next two years and double its economic impact on the community it serves by becoming one of the area's attractions. HART's goal includes expanding its season to operate full time, with no breaks between performances during its season. Additional goals include the expansion of staff and the ongoing employment of professionals on stage, and the expansion of youth theater programs.

In 2012 HART began a one million dollar capital campaign to construct a second performance facility on the current property which would allot the theater to rotate from one stage to the next allowing for an unbroken schedule. The facility would include a cafe/bistro and could be rented in the off season as an event location. The strategy for raising the needed funds has been an emphasis on the economic impact to the region from HART's expansion.

HART has mobilized its audience to make the point that the theater's role in the community is more than cultural. In HART's thirty year history the organization has never had a losing season, never operated in the red, and has set box office records every years for the past six years.

Since kicking off the capital fund drive for the new Stage II project HART has raised over $670,000 toward's its goal, is securing financing from a local bank and construction is schedule to begin in March, 2014 with a completion expected by year's end.
