The American Rose Society is dedicated to extending the knowledge, production, use and appreciation of roses in all forms.Judging Program - We have specialized programs for those who want to learn how to judge roses and rose arrangements in competition. You can find out about the requirements for becoming a judge and where to find a judging school near you. It can be ordered on the form below. You can also contact a Consulting Rosarian OnLine who will answer questions by e-mail. Publish ""American Rose magazine"" - Our members receive a free subscription to The American Rose, which is published 11 times annually. They also receive The Rose Annual each December, which summarizes many of the activities of the Society, as well as offering stimulating articles on research, the new roses in the world and the results of various rose trials held here in this country and also abroad. Included in your membership is the Handbook for Selecting Roses, which offers a condensed listing of roses commercially available in the United States and Canada. It also gives the color class and ARS rating for each rose - the higher the number, the better that particular rose has performed across the nation.
