Programs and results
What we aim to solve
The demand for pet therapy continues to grow in the Atlanta community as more people realize the benefits.
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Recruiting new Volunteers with Pets
Happy Tails plans to expand its membership of human and animal volunteers in order to meet the growing need for its pet assisted therapy services. We do not have enough members to meet the growing need for Pet Therapy services. We have over 100 facilities on the waiting list for Happy Tails teams to begin visiting. Expansion plans require additional resources to support recruiting efforts, pet evaluations, member orientation and ongoing training, team leader training, quality monitoring and improvement of the services we provide.
