Our programs

What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Stepping Stones

Stepping Stones is our open-level offering, providing weekly classes for children and teens ages 3-18. Students participate in one of our age-appropriate classes--Baby Steps, Mini Steps, Girls in Motion, Boys in Motion, or Collective Motion--that meet for one hour per week, September to May. Students learn dance fundamentals while using creative movement as a tool for self-expression and community-building. Prior dance experience is not required.

Our program architecture is built on the research-based Positive Youth Development model, which is endorsed by the Family & Youth Services Bureau and is designed to optimize a child's developmental progress even in the face of challenges and hardship. We stimulate students’ social, emotional and cognitive needs through our core creative youth development programs.
