EVHS exists for the purpose of preventing of cruelty to, relieving the suffering of, and providing humane treatment for animals in need.

Notes from the nonprofit

Since 2010, EVHS, along with countless animal advocates, has rescued over 28,000 lives from Bartow County Animal Control and successfully lowered euthanasia in Bartow County from 82% to 3.7% - a 95.5% decrease. In 2021, Bartow County had the 2nd lowest euthanasia rate in the 20 county metropolitan Atlanta area.
